This week in Reading we will read poetry and notice how writers describe things using the five senses. We will continue reading and spelling CVC words. We will also use guide words in picture dictionaries to find words. In Writing we will use rhyming words to write our own poems! In Math we are reviewing counting and comparing objects through 20. We will also look at how we can break up numbers into smaller parts, such as breaking the number 20 into 4 groups of 5. We are now counting to 100 everyday in class. Please practice at home to help improve counting skills!
We will begin learning about the differences between living and nonliving things in Science.
We will identify needs and wants in our lives, and learn how people in the past have met their needs. We will also look at how people who live in different places meet their needs.
